We collect information about you during the ordering process in our store.

What we collect and store

When you visit our site, we will track :

Stores you’ve visited: we use this information, for example, to show you which vendor’s stores you’ve visited recently.

The products you have viewed: we use this information, for example, to show you the products you have recently viewed.

Location, IP address and browser type: we use this information for purposes such as estimating taxes and shipping costs.

Delivery address: we’ll ask you to enter this so that we can, for example, estimate shipping costs before you place an order, and send the order to you!

We will also use cookies to track the contents of the shopping cart as you browse our site.

When you purchase from us, we will ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, shipping address, e-mail address, telephone number, credit card payment information and optional account information such as a username and password. We will use this information for purposes such as:

• Send you information about your account and your order. Respond to your requests, including refunds and claims.
• Process payments and prevent fraud.
• Set up your account for our store.
• Meet our legal obligations, such as calculating taxes.
• Improve our in-store offers.
• Send you marketing messages, if you choose to receive them.
• If you create an account, we will generally store your name, address, e-mail and telephone number, which will be used to complete the checkout for future orders.
• As a general rule, we store information about you for as long as we need it for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not legally required to keep it.

For example, we will retain order information for 7 years for tax and accounting purposes. This includes your name, e-mail address and billing and shipping addresses.

We will also retain any comments or reviews you choose to leave.

Who in our team has access

Members of our team have access to the information you provide.

For example, Merch Temple administrators and market owners/store managers can access:

• Order information, such as what was purchased, when it was purchased and where it is to be sent.
• Customer information, such as your name, e-mail address and billing and shipping information.

Merch Temple team members, such as customer service representatives, product developers and marketing staff, have access to information to help you process orders, process refunds and provide assistance.

What we share with others

We have integrations with third parties that help us provide seamless services with orders and other store services for you.

For example, payment gateways to process and finalize your orders, or web analytics to improve your store and shopping experience.

Payments

We accept payment via PayPal. When processing payments, some of your data will be transmitted to PayPal, including information necessary to process or support the payment, such as purchase total and billing information.
